چکیده
Abstract The development of a nonprecious, stable, and highly effective electrocatalyst for decomposition water into oxygen hydrogen is vitally important sustainable energy conversion, but it still remains challenging to replace the noble metal electrocatalysts with more economically viable alternatives. Herein, polyaniline (PANI) decorated hierarchical nickel cobalt thiospinel (NiCo 2 S 4 ) hybrid catalyst (NCS‐P) has been developed that shows enhanced dual catalytic activity both evolution reaction (OER) (HER) compared pristine NiCo (NCS). Benefiting from conductive PANI coating, NCS‐P nanostructure exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic in alkaline solution low overpotentials 273 ± 3 77 mV at 10 mA cm −2 Tafel slopes 42.2 68.5 dec −1 OER HER, respectively, which are better than those benchmark noble‐metal‐based RuO Pt/C.

When NiO@Ni Meets WS2 Nanosheet Array: A Highly Efficient and Ultrastable Electrocatalyst for Overall Water Splitting
The development of low-cost, high-efficiency, and stable bifunctional electrocatalysts toward the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is of paramount importance for large-scale water splitting. Here, we develop a new strategy for the first design and synthesis of a NiO@Ni decorated WS2 nanosheet array on carbon cloth (NiO@Ni/WS2/CC) composite. This composite se...

With the socio economic development, people have paid more and more attention to energy source problems, especially to clean and renewable energy such as hydrogen. It is appealing but still challenging to find or design an appropriate catalyst which is inexpensive and efficient for both the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in the same electrolyte. In this wo...

Anchoring CoO Domains on CoSe2 Nanobelts as Bifunctional Electrocatalysts for Overall Water Splitting in Neutral Media
A facile in situ partial surface-oxidation strategy to integrate CoO domains with CoSe2 nanobelts on Ti mesh (denoted as CoO/CoSe2) via direct calcination of CoSe2-diethylenetriamine precursors is reported. The resulted self-supported CoO/CoSe2 exhibits an outstanding activity and stability in neutral media toward both hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction.
